Nurturing Families

The  Capitol City Seventh-day Adventist Church values family. Family is a key component of our church and so we  nurture each component  towards strengthening the church body.

WOMEN'S MINISTRY

Our purpose is to inspire women to reach their potential in Christ; to train them to deepen their spiritual life and to put their faith in action by employing their valuable talents in His service, and to play a significant role in hastening the return of Christ.

Our Vision is to lift up Jesus Christ and Him crucified and to train the women to discover and employ their leadership and ministry in the home, the church and the community. By the transforming power of the gospel, her strength will be their strength. The Women’s Ministries Department strives to enrich and train women to perceive their value as human beings in Christ and their role in the church and society.

MEN'S MINISTRY

Often men today experience misperceptions regarding their roles as sons, husbands, fathers, friends and disciples of Christ; especially when they have not had emotionally or spiritually healthy, Christ-reflecting fathers or other positive male role models.

We believe this cultural misperception presents Christian men with an unprecedented opportunity to display the glory of God’s original design of self-sacrificing, service-focused manhood that condemns the toxic masculinity practices of aggression, violence and disrespect towards women and children.

When men commit themselves to an authentic, transformative relationship with Jesus, they will experience His supernatural power which will help them break toxic, generational masculinity patterns and practices. They will be enabled to serve, love and empower their spouses, children and expanded spiritual family in their sphere of influence

It coordinates education related to aging, health, finance, and social issues for aging adults in the church and community in collaboration with community-based older adult program .We minnister to older adults in Christ’s name by providing resources, training events, and networking opportunities

Family Ministry

Family ministries seeks to strengthen the family as a discipling center. The family was established by divine creation as the fundamental human institution. It is the primary setting in which values are learned and the capacity for close relationships with God and with other human beings is developed.

Our ministry extends hope and support to those who have been injured and hurt by abuse, family dysfunction, and broken relationships.Family Ministries fosters competence in a variety of interpersonal skills needed in relationships. It provides growth opportunities through family life education and enrichment. It encourages individuals, married couples, and families to avail themselves of professional counseling when necessary.
